On my 18th birthday I was arrested along with a male friend for possession of cannabis. It was the first time I had ever been arrested. While on bail the arresting officer told me he would make sure I only received a caution for my offence if I slept with him. I was afraid of being sent to an adult prison as I had just turned 18. I reluctantly agreed and he came to ‘visit’ me at my friend’s house to ‘talk’ about it. There in the front room he made me turn around hands on the wall whilst he assaulted me from behind. My friend was in the next room. It didn’t feel like a penis as whatever penetrated me was very hard and solid. It really really hurt. When he was done he left without saying a word. I went into the next room and didn’t say a word to my friend (who knew the score) when she asked me if the ‘deal was done’ I just said yes. I have never spoken about it to anyone because I felt it was my fault for ‘agreeing’ to it, and because it didn’t feel like a penis, I wasn’t sure how to say anything. I was bruised and sore for a good week or so afterwards. I did however get my ‘caution’ for the offence, being older now and knowing more how things work, I would have only ever been given a caution anyway.
