Put a tentative written query to an abuse help line run by the police, and just had them turn up 36 hrs later, with no warning, in a gang, looking for a fight. Said they were “safeguarding me”. That’s a joke, I mean, really, they think 36 hrs later is going to work. I tried reasoning with them and they moronically did not remotely listen. Stopped them arresting my husband by having to take extreme action, which ended up with me being tasered, knocked about and arrested haha, but it worked, and I got my way. Just showed me that the police are mindless, scared, moron puppets, led by policies based on a typical misogynistic control and coercive mindset. If you want help from the abuse you are getting from a partner, don’t bother involving the police. It is just “out of the frying pan, into the fire” THEY WILL MAKE IT WORSE because they think you are a useless, brainless female.
