Jane Doe | Sexual Assault at my home by an on duty police [senior rank redacted]

We live in a house with a pool, my former best friend and her husband had been and used the pool the week before (I didn’t go in the pool). A week later she messaged me to ask if they could come over again and then he arrived on his own, I was surprised he came alone as I didn’t know him that well. He kept asking me to get in the pool with him. I refused. He then went on to sexually assault me by putting his hands up my skirt, down my top, pushing himself between my legs and trying to kiss me – he was also near naked at the time wearing only swimming shorts. I immediately said no, no, no and shook my head but he didn’t stop and I was frozen in fear. I eventually managed to get away from where he had cornered me (he is a large, intimidating man at around [height redacted]) and shut myself in the house. It’s currently being investigated but I really don’t feel it’s being investigated properly, it’s been months and they still haven’t even taken witness statements. How can it be right that the police investigate their own crimes??? I am also a police [redacted for legal reasons] and wondering why I bother now.
