My ex husband who was abusive asked his police friend to call the police on me, the police came to my house and beat me up there and then. They then took me to the station where they left me naked for several hours with the cell door open and one officer guarding the door. Many police officers came by to speak to the officer at the door and to have a look at me. I wasn’t allowed to wash my face, brush my teeth and even though I had soiled myself when an officer was on top of my stomach beating me I wasn’t allowed to wash and had to present like that to court. I was not given my daily medication either for those 3 days and was only offered one meal a day. I would like to add im not just a woman but also a foreigner and I believe that’s also fuelled some of the abuse.
