This is my email to Surrey Police, with a few edits for this site (dates etc).
Here is an update on the situation between me and ****. I've left him now after an incident involving anal rape and his stabbing me with a fork whilst I was asleep.
I appreciate there is nothing the police can do, as is usual where violence has historically been used against me. My father broke my nose (1990), husband tried to strangle me (2000-2005), ex partner cut my hair in my sleep (2020-1l and now more recently I have had this (2025-6).
Typically there has been denial or no comment where I have been the victim of violence. I am fed up with having been painted as a liar and a basket case for my entire life, but I understand this is just the way the system works and even if there are threats towards me, I do not feel there will be any point in calling the police so will not engage with them.
This is not a sign of mental illness on my part, but my huge frustration with a system that has always let me down.

I was born in 1974 and was wrongly imprisoned for a year in both prison and a mental hospital as the partner who cut my hair during 2020-1 harassed me out of all my future accommodation when I left him. I have refused to engage with the police now as I am consistently painted as an "evil disturbed person" when I am nothing of the kind, this has been the story of my life. I am through dealing with social and other services also and as far as I am concerned derive most benefit from doing my own thing and engaging with as few people as possible, hardly talking because it will only be used against me.
