I joined the met wanting to work in a respectable rewarding career. I joined CID to make a bigger difference. More than once I was bullied as a means to someones promotion. The last time was for over a year, I was belittled in front of the department, sergeants admitted to being bullied into making up false complaints about me. Constantly put in situations that I couldn't win, setting me up to fail constantly, giving me unreasonable workloads despite others having a quarter of my workload and using that as evidence of my incompetence as a Detective. Blocking every move. I was warned he was out to get me by several people, one guy tried to stick up for me and he was moved, so no one else backed me up or spoke out again. The federation were useless, not wanting rock the boat but paying lip service that they were helping me, one rep even saying "if only I was stronger", occupational health said I was being bullied but they couldn't help, senior managers ignored my pleas to be moved, one said I was being bullied because I was useless. Told not to speak about it because I was affecting morale, not him, me. He got his promotion, I quit and have had CPTSD for years, unable to hold a job for more than a few months, a year of it was part time. Couldn't even sue because it was too retraumatising and was making me as sick as when it happened.
