I was a special constable and I saw far too much of dishonest serving police officers, this includes drink driving, beatings and reports of drug finds suddenly being significantly less than what was initially reported.
Personally a traffic officer from Bodmin decided to stalk and harass me, parking outside my house that was rural that I shared with my parents – mostly in the evenings with his engine running sometimes revving to let me know he was there.
I would ignore him but my father would go out and announce “my friend” was outside.
I made it clear I wanted nothing to do with him and questioned why he was there and not on patrol. This continued for some time and I was wary he was a serving male officer who could out power me and it got to the point I was blatantly rude to him and feared the consequences. He even turned up at briefings and said he could take a special out, my [redacted for legal reasons] was canny and he would always pair me with one of his own men- maybe he knew what he was like.
Eventually my mum asked why he was always outside and I told her, she said I should report him but who on earth do you report him to? you cant exactly ring the police
